Our pedestrian routes and walks are specifically designed for true lovers of pure, hidden and challenging nature. Moments with skin-deep emotions are guaranteed for those who walk in nature is synonymous with a lifestyle and, at the same time, a factor in discovering the scenic, natural and cultural riches of this region so rich in natural heritage. This is the only way we can truly understand our natural spaces that Serra da Estrela holds.

Step by step, we will explore hidden scenarios, proving that Serra da Estrela is a unique mountain in Portugal. Get away from the car, the road, civilization and just use your senses, starting to look at your surroundings in a completely different way. We present several proposals for interpretive walks and 1/2 day walking routes, with a local guide, a natural from the region, professional since 2004 and where we reveal the true soul of Serra da Estrela.

The walking/walking service includes:

  • VAT at the legal rate in force.
  • Personal accident and civil liability insurance.
  • Guide | NAG – Animative.
  • Café do Montanheiro in the middle of the walk.
  • Free wifi during the walk.
  • Delivery of tourist documentation.

Information:
(It is necessary to send a list with the name (1st and last) and date of birth of all participants. These data are mandatory).

  • In case of adverse weather conditions, the program can be conditioned, changed or even interrupted, if the guide considers that the minimum safety conditions for people are not met or the program unfolds as planned.
  • If the program is already running at the time of its conditioning, interruption and/or alteration, the price list remains in full force.
  • Programs may be changed or revised depending on procedures and regulations regarding the SARS-Cov-2 (Covid19) outbreak.
  • Program for a maximum group of up to 4 people. Groups greater than 4 people will be subject to consultation.
  • Minimum age for participation: 8 years old.
  • Guest accommodation not included.
  • Guest meals not included.
  • Customer transportation/transfers not included. (Customers must travel by their own means)
  • Guide allowances included.
  • Program guided by a graduate in Sports Sciences and Tourism, holder of the First Aid course, knowledgeable of the territory in question and knowledgeable of the procedures for acting in case of suspected Covid19.
  • The guide considers that the clients have the physical and health conditions to carry out the proposed walks.
  • The walks can take place during the morning or afternoon, starting at 09:30 or 14:30 at the meeting point and estimated end at 12:30 or 17:30 respectively. Another meeting point can be scheduled, being agreed directly with the guide.
  • The programs can be carried out on any day of the week.
  • The programs are private, that is, they do not include joining other groups or including other people.
  • There is the possibility of presenting and carrying out 1-day programs, which are subject to a budget.
  • Programs valid from March to September 2023.
  • Montanheiro’s coffee includes: hot coffee/tea; dry cookies.

Customers must bring for the hike (very important):

  • Appropriate clothing for the walk and time of year;
  • Appropriate footwear (hiking, resistant sports or mountain);
  • Hat or cap;
  • Waterproof/windstopper;
  • Hiking poles (advisable);
  • Sunscreen cream;
  • Spare clothing and footwear;
  • Backpack with liquid and solid food reinforcement.

Insurance (features):

Personal accidents

– Payment of treatment expenses due to an accident up to €4,000.00.
– Payment of €23,000.00 in capital in the event of the death or permanent disability of your customers.

Civil liability in the amount of €50,000.00.
